We are pleased to offer a one owner auction of the collection of Necia Spencer of New Jersey along with items descended from relatives, some of whom were prominent Maine residents including Captain Albion KP Wallace of Millbridge who fought and died in the Battle of  Fredericksburg.  Sale will feature large assortment of country Americana to include many nice pieces of antique furniture (many in old paint), paintings, nautical items, woodenware, stoneware, baskets, tins, dolls, textiles, rugs, emphemera, lighting and other interesting pieces.  Exciting one owner auction with hundreds of items.  Great fresh and unusual items for Brimfield.

ARTWORK:  Mid-19th Century China trade oil canvas of the American ship “Tam O’Shanter” 23 1/2" x 31" (back of China trade oil) , oil on canvas portrait of Captain Albion KP Wallace of Millbridge, ME (former Senator) who fought and was killed in the Battle of Fredericksburg together with his appointment certificate, portrait miniatures and silhouettes, several nice early portraits (sample 1, sample 2, sample 3), 4 oil paintings signed Mills (Hugh Lauren) (sample 1, sample 2, sample 3),  Original etching “The Diggers" Jean Francois Millet (documents for "The Diggers"), several unsigned small marine paintings, Katherine Pricket LaJolla Cal o/b, Modern painting sgnd Cucaro, marine w/c, Currier and Ives prints,

DIRECTIONS:  SALE TO BE HELD AT VFW POST 1526, 123 Holliston St., Medway, MA (off Rte. 109) Take Mass Pike to Rte. 495 South to Exit 18 – Take a right toward Medway and go straight approx 6 miles and turn left onto Holliston St. go. .5 miles VFW will be on your left.   From Rte 128/95 take the Rte 109 Westwood exit 16B follow Route 109 into Medway(about 30-40 minutes depending on traffic) and take a right onto Holliston St. go .5 miles VFW will be on your left.
